Meet the Team

Brenda D. Walker

Brenda, a proud South Carolinian from Columbia, now resides in Elgin with her husband, Andrew, and daughter, Riley. Graduating from Richland Northeast in 2006, she pursued Elementary Education at USC while working for a neurology group. Transitioning to full-time in neurology after graduation, Brenda found her passion in the medical field. Joining Dr. Carlin in 2013, she initially managed insurance and billing, later transitioning to assisting Dr. Carlin in December 2021. Brenda is dedicated to assisting patients with any pre or post-operative inquiries, ensuring a positive experience.

Brenda is available for post-operative care questions as well as any disability forms or medical records questions.

Jamie R. Johnson

Jamie is the office manager at Carlin Plastic Surgery. She resides in Saluda with her husband on their farm. With over two decades of experience in the plastic surgery field, she has transitioned from assisting Dr. Carlin directly to overseeing administrative tasks since December 2021. Jamie's extensive medical background ensures smooth scheduling of surgeries and comprehensive patient care. She is dedicated to ensuring a positive experience for all patients, providing assistance and answering any questions throughout their journey with Carlin Plastic Surgery.

Jennie Willis

Jennie was born and raised in Lexington, SC where she still resides. She has been married for over 30 years and they have 3 daughters. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She started her medical career in 1991 graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is previously experienced in Pediatrics (20 years) and Dermatology (9 years) prior to joining Carlin Plastic Surgery in 2021.

Kelly Michelle Amick

Kelly Michelle is one of our certified surgical technologists and joined Dr. Carlin in early 2024 after the addition of our operating room. She began her career in the medical field in 2013 and became a surgical technologist in 2017. With almost 10 years of surgical experience, she has worked in many specialties including vascular, general, GYN, podiatry, and plastic surgery. She works side by side with Dr. Carlin in assisting him during surgery and insuring sterility of all equipment and supplies. Born and raised in South Carolina, she is married to her husband Dillon and has two beautiful children. Michelle is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and support to all of our patients here at Carlin Plastic Surgery.

Cathy Gillespy

Cathy joined Carlin Plastic Surgery in May 2024 as a certified surgical technologist and assists Dr. Carlin in the operating room. With 43 years of operating room experience, she has worked in adult and pediatric neurosurgery, general surgery, OBGYN surgery and plastic surgery. She is grateful to be part of the Carlin Plastic Surgery team and loves bringing her experience, compassion, and passion for patient care to the practice.
